ADVOCACY
Build a Better World For Women and Girls
What is Advocacy?
Advocacy is the expression of support for, or opposition to, a cause, argument or proposal. Advocacy may include influencing laws, legislation or attitudes.
Zonta advocacy is an action taken in the public interest or for the greater good with respect to advancing the status of women and girls and their human rights.
Advocacy is a political action. However, Zonta is non-partisan and non-sectarian so we do not support a candidate or a political party but we do act on policies and public issues.
There are many issues for advocacy by Zonta members but we have to limit the number of issues so our focus can be more influential.
